Deputy Mendoza Accuses Government of Glacier Handover

Buenos Aires, April 8 (NA) – Provincial deputy Mayra Mendoza participated this Wednesday in the march in defense of the Glacier Law and launched strong criticisms against the national government and opposition leaders, warning about the "handover" of natural resources.

"Accompanying this mobilization as a deputy activist that I am, but above all as a citizen who hopes that politics will listen to the street. The hypocrisy of those in government responsibility is total," Mendoza stated during the protest.

The leader stated that "governors have already handed over our glaciers, that is, our water," and linked the situation to the detention of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, indicating that "we stop being a normal country if Cristina remains a prisoner while Milei governs," according to the Argentine News Agency.

In this context, she considered that "they have her imprisoned to destroy the country with the Argentines inside" and questioned regulatory changes by stating that "this law that hands over the glaciers has to do with eliminating one from 2010."

Mendoza also targeted opposition sectors by stating that "some speculators who think they are leaders are funding the idea that this country's problem is Kirchnerism," and warned that "the damage Macri, Caputo, and the traitors who vote with Milei are doing could be irreparable."

Likewise, she described a critical social scenario by indicating that "the salary is not enough, there are more and more unemployed people" and described the health status of former minister Julio de Vido as "very unjust."

Finally, she expressed her displeasure with the political leadership and assured: "We are not living in a democracy," while reiterating her support for the former president and concluding: "I will not resign myself to us being a normal country again."
